A very comfortable and environmentally friendly Farm Holiday House, immersed in a family and at the same time cosmopolitan atmosphere created by some original ethnic and elegant details.
It is located at the foot of the medieval village Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca: this area is very well known for its DOC-wines and extra-virgin olive oil but also for its cultural and traditional vitality. It is situated at a few kilometres from Pisa and Pistoia and not far from Florence: this is where you find the Casa Fontanino Farm, an ideal destination for the holidays of large families or groups of friends, but also a flexible location for cinema and television sets or for weddings. Our House is preferably rented as a whole, but we also accept reservations for single bed-rooms.
The Farm park is over ten hectares wide and houses olive groves and orchards, aromatic and marsh plants. The Farm is crossed by streams and in its southern part, not far from the quarries in the process of naturalization, there is a lake populated with birds and suitable for the bird-watching activity. The garden has a very manicured lawn, a swimming-pool and a vegetable garden. Our guests have seven elegant and comfortable double bed-rooms at their disposal, all of them with bathroom, TV set, Wi-Fi and air conditioning system of the latest generation. The building has the typical Tuscan architectural design, and consists of two floors.
The ground floor has “cotto” tiles and goes all around a large dining hall connected to a spacious and perfectly equipped community kitchen. On the same floor there are also two communicating bed-rooms, that can be easily used as a unique apartment, and two bathrooms. The first floor has a parquet flooring and houses the other five magnificent bed-rooms, characterized by colour variations and original furnishing elements.
Casa Fontanino was born from the passion and competence of the Pucci family members: Stefano is the husband and Antonella Tempesti is the wife. The true starting point was Mr. Pucci’s company: he is a producer of bricks and other good quality building materials. As a matter of fact, the building was renovated using his special materials: the lime and cork plaster guarantee a high sound absorption and an ideal thermoregulation of the rooms, to such an extent as to make the use of air conditioning almost useless. The other starting point was Antonella’s profession: she is a stylist and the manager of a fashion company and is also engaged in the sector of interior design; her elegant touch has left a sign on the atmosphere of the House. Another essential contribution is given by Stefania, Stefano’s sister, who acquired a good experience in meditation and Indian disciplines such as yoga and ayurveda after long stays in the East. Let’s not forget the help of the two grandmothers, Anna Maria and Anna Marina, also great travellers, and the support of the three children, Gian Marco, Carolina and Giorgio Elio.
Una residenza agrituristica super confortevole ed ecocompatibile, in atmosfera familiare e al tempo stesso cosmopolita grazie agli originali innesti etno-chic.
Ai piedi del prezioso borgo medioevale di Montecarlo in provincia di Lucca, noto per i vini Doc e l’olio ma anche per la vitalità culturale e artigianale, a pochi chilometri da Pisa e Pistoia e non lontano da Firenze, si trova il podere Casa Fontanino: una meta ideale per le vacanze di famiglie numerose o gruppi di amici, ma anche duttile location per eventuali set cinematografici e televisivi o per matrimoni. Struttura preferibilmente affittata tutta insieme, dunque, anche se sono accettate le prenotazioni di singole camere.
Nel parco dell’agriturismo, di oltre dieci ettari, si incontrano oliveti, frutteti, piante aromatiche e palustri. La tenuta è attraversata da corsi d’acqua e ospita nella parte meridionale, non lontano dalle cave in corso di rinaturalizzazione, un lago popolato di uccelli adatto al birdwatching. Il giardino, con curatissimo prato all’inglese e piscina, è arricchito da un orto. Le sette comode ed eleganti camere della residenza, tutte doppie con bagno e munite di tv, collegamento WiFi e impianto di climatizzazione di ultima generazione, sono accolte in un edificio dal solido impianto architettonico tradizionale toscano, articolato in due piani.
Il pian terreno, con pavimento in cotto, ruota attorno a una grande sala conviviale conviviale collegata a una spaziosa cucina comune attrezzatissima e comprende due camere comunicanti utilizzabili come appartamento unico, oltre a due bagni extra. Al primo piano, pavimentato in parquet, si trovano le altre cinque magnifiche camere, contraddistinte da variazioni di colore e originali complementi d’arredo.
Casa Fontanino nasce dalle passioni e competenze dei membri della famiglia dei coniugi Stefano Pucci e Antonella Tempesti. A cominciare dall’attività imprenditoriale di Stefano, produttore di mattoni e altri materiali da costruzione di qualità, al quale si deve lo speciale materiale con cui è stato ristrutturato l’edificio, i cui intonaci a calce e sughero garantiscono alta fonoassorbenza e una ottimale termoregolazione degli ambienti, tale da rendere quasi superfluo l’impianto di climatizzazione. E da quella di Antonella, stilista e titolare di una maison di moda, ma impegnata anche nel settore dell’interior design, il cui tocco elegante ha lasciato il segno nell’arredamento della residenza. A tutto ciò va aggiunto il contributo essenziale all’atmosfera di Stefania, sorella di Stefano esperta di meditazione e di discipline indiane quali yoga e ayurveda, in seguito a lunghi soggiorni in Oriente. E poi quelli delle nonne, Anna Maria e Anna Marina, anch’esse grandi viaggiatrici. E dei tre figli: Gian Marco, Carolina e Giorgio Elio.
